Happy 3rd Birthday CoolCrafting

Hello everybody! ¬†We are three today! Can you believe it? We can’t. This post is about our creative journey and favourite memories.

We also thought it would be nice to have a bit of a give-away competition to celebrate – details of which are at the bottom of the page

This cute little fellow met Prince Charles who was quite taken by him.
he has now gone to a good home. You can come to class to make your own.

Prince Charles having a little browse at our Kirkby Market stall.
We thought he might pick up a few buttons for his latest knitting project, but alas it was not to be. He loved it though so CoolCrafting has the royal seal of approval

This photo was taken at last years Ingleton 1940’s weekend. We loved everything about it, the homeguard, the cake from Frumenty and Fluffin, the vintage stalls.

Another snap from the 1940’s fair, this time featuring the lady herself with the grand prize of a pink lemonade and a glorious hunk of Frumenty and Fluffin’s perfect, wonderful, amazing chocolate cake.

Another photo from the 1940’s weekend. This couple looked so amazing as they browsed our buttons we had to take a few snaps.

Founder, creator and official dismisser of perfectly good coffee looking cheeky after an early morning set up.

We made these sweet, rustic little shortbreads for a old blog post that now seems an age away.

The main benefit of working from home is working from the garden. Just a little outdoor Make Me jar filling in the Lake District summer rays.

One crafty little lady looking very pleased with her painted jar.
This was taken at a wonderful little vintage fair in Dalton in Furness.

Our trademark vintage china filled with sweeties
buttons. People often come up to us and say “oh – you’re the teacup lady!!”

We love our CoolCrafting banner because a crafty person never throws away the  scraps, they are simply the basis of new ideas.

Beautiful and tasty cake from last week’s hen party.
You all know we are foodies here.

packed tightly

Our car certainly pulls its weight and then some.

The Wealden Times Midsummer fair is always one of our favourite shows of the year.
Not only is the location magical, we stay at a wonderful B&B and everyone we meet is lovely.

Where would a blog of our favourite things be without Luna Lapin.
This dear little rabbit has been so well received, thank you to everyone who has bought her.

Just before the Queen’s Jubilee we were lucky enough to go in to all the Primary schools in Dalton and help the children make Jubilee themed bunting. This photo was featured in the local paper, it was a ¬†very rewarding project and we have been back to various schools a couple of times to help creatively.

This photo was taken in the very first class of our very first show. how far we have come!
We are happy to say we are still enjoying getting little ones and grown ups alike stitching and making all over the country.

This beautiful summer bunting has to be one of our favourite recent makes. We used small pieced of Bias Binding to create this masterpiece of summery loveliness.

One of our oldest tea party makes and still in use today.
We just quite like this photograph if we are being honest with you.

Twix can often be found sat under the wisteria with a stray piece of bias binding hanging from his mouth- you craft pup. you.
