When Princess Gracie Grenouille set out to defy tradition and compete in the Olympics, she needed an outfit as bold and determined as she was. In a regal shade of princess pink, the tracksuit is adorned with a bold floral “G” on the chest, a symbol of Gracie’s unshakable spirit. The casual sweatshirt has raglan sleeves, a cosy hood, and a ribbed hem. The track pants have an elasticated waist with a front tie, a straight leg and go faster stripes.

Our Make Me kits include easy-to-follow instructions, accompanied by beautiful photography and clear diagrams that demonstrate the sewing steps. We are sure that if you read the instructions carefully, you will be successful in your sewing, but if you have any questions (or just want to show off your work), join Luna Lapin’s Little World, our helpful Facebook community.

Gracie’s Olympic Tracksuit is one of our medium projects due to its design and stretch fabric. We recommend that you have experience making clothing (person or Luna-sized) before. This project is designed to be machine-sewn, but a very patient person could do it by hand. All the clothes in the Luna Lapin collection (unless stated otherwise) will fit Luna and all her friends.

Ingredients

Either in the kit or you will need

Fat quarter sweatshirting fabric
30cm (12in) x 5cm (2in) matching ribbing
Tonal sewing thread
12.5cm (5”) square of Bondaweb
Sscrap of Liberty or similar lightweight lawn
2 mtrs (78in) 7mm deep satin ribbon.
16cm (6 1/2in) 1cm deep elastic.

General Tools
You will need an iron, scissors, pins and a sewing machine. A water-soluble marking pen might help you, but you can use tailors tacks to mark positions.
