Meet Molly, our sweet, silly pup. She’s loyal, lovable, and wonderfully soft. Molly Dog is a sized-up version of Midge the Terrier. You might decide you are confident enough to make her from Midge’s pattern, but if not, you can choose to buy her as her own Make Me Kit.

Description

Molly fits right in with Flora and Friends, when dressing Molly, be aware that bouclé will make her naturally bigger than Flora, so you may need to reduce the seam allowance of any of her clothing through the sleeve/body and increase the seam allowance around the neckline (making a bigger circle).

Our Make Me kits include easy-to-read instructions with beautiful photography and clear diagrams to demonstrate the sewing steps. Like Bramble, Molly is made in Bouclé, which has a natural stretch. To help the finished head hold its shape, we recommend applying a lightweight fusible interfacing to the upper head, eye patches and back head pieces. This will help the fabric retain its intended size when stuffing. Bouclé can be quite bulky. To keep the ears neat and well-shaped, we suggest cutting one pair of ear pieces from felt or cotton rather than bouclé. This reduces thickness in the finished ears. Using a walking foot on your sewing machine will make the density easier to work with. Our Bouclé is made of polyester, which means it withstands gentle, cool washing, making it a better choice for a big squishy pup than felt. We wouldn’t recommend putting it in the tumble dryer.

33cm (13in) x 150cm (60in) snow white boucle, 20cm (8in) x 75cm (30in) cinnamon boucle, 16cm (6in) x 30cm (12in) black boucle, 25cm (10in) x 12.5cm (4in) black felt, 25cm (10in) x 45cm (17in) lightweight iron on interfacing, 2 x 1.5cm transparent brown safety eyes, 4 x 2.3cm (15/16in) buttons for arms and legs.
