Description
The little Leggings are the perfect accompaniment to the Pinafore and the ruched ankles give a bit of extra detail but they could be left plain too.
It is a very simple shape but has a few techniques to help you with your sewing and our clear and easy to follow instructions will take you through everything step by step.
- Gathering
- A bound finish to the edges of the pockets and around the pinafore
- Top stitching
- Sewing with jersey
- Inserting an elastic waistband
Suitable Fabrics
Pinafore – Cotton poplin, craft cotton, linen, denim, baby needlecord, light weight wool
Leggings – light to medium weight jersey fabrics such as single jersey, double jersey or even a French terry jersey.
You will also need 1″ wide elastic and the correct needle for your fabric. A twin needle on your machine gives a great finish to the hems of the leggings too.
