One way we do this is by celebrating and supporting British craftsmanship. Many of our Luna Lapin and Friends kits now feature British wool tweed, sourced from heritage mills that champion sustainable farming and ethical production. We have also expanded our range to include knitting patterns designed exclusively for British wool, encouraging makers to support local suppliers and reduce their environmental footprint.
At CoolCrafting, we believe in regenerative tourism
We go beyond sustainability to actively enrich our environment, economy, and community. As a creative business rooted in Cumbria, we are inspired by the landscapes and traditions of our region, and we strive to ensure that our presence and activities contribute positively to the local area.

We are also deeply committed to place-based tourism
We ensure that visitors to our Kendal shop and workshops experience the creative and cultural richness of Cumbria. Many of our customers make a special journey to visit us, and we take pride in sharing our love for the region’s textile heritage, recommending other local businesses, and fostering a deeper connection between craft and place.
Through our long-standing support of Cumbria Wildlife Trust, we actively contribute to conservation efforts, ensuring that the natural beauty that inspires us remains protected for future generations.
