Transferring markings

Mark the notches shown on the patterns with either a tiny snip in the fabric or by using a water-soluble pen or chalk marker. Mark any triangles with a tiny snip at the centre. Mark any dots on the patterns with either a water-soluble pen or tailor’s tacks. The triangles and dots are position markers. The notches can be there to mark a position or to help you ease around curves so please be accurate when you are snipping them. Once you have marked the positions, unpin the pattern pieces from the cut fabric and store them together when you are sure you have cut them all out.
