Difficulty

The Queen of the Fairies Pattern contains the Fairy wings, the Velvet Elizabethan Bodice, the Tulle Petal Skirt, and the Simple Liberty Skirt. Moonhare sold separately.

We will be making the Queen of the Fairies outfits to order, so please allow a few weeks for them to reach you. The Queen of the Faires will be available to order from now until July 31st, but won’t be leaving the workshop until August. To celebrate the transition from spring to summer, we are introducing three new colourways and reviving the original, beautiful deep green velvet with its Donna Leigh skirt.

The Moon Hare Pattern contains the pattern to make the naked Moon Hare only.

This is a Pre Order

  • Please don’t order anything else at the same time. Pre-orders are packed and shipped in batches, often from a location separate to our shop and post room. Including other items makes things more complicated and delays everyone’s orders.
  • Pre-orders are paid for in full at the time of ordering.
  • We’ll keep you updated as much as we can, but exact dispatch dates aren’t always possible.
  • If you’re moving house or going on holiday when your parcel is due, let us know in advance and we’ll do our best to help.

We really appreciate your understanding — this system allows us to keep postage fair and get your pre-orders out smoothly, with as few mistakes as possible.

Each kit is hand-assembled on the edge of the English Lake District.

Description

Description

Enter the Queen of the Fairies! With two skirt options —simple and one that resembles gossamer or petals —and a clever, beautiful, Elizabethan-inspired petal bodice, this outfit is full of Shakespearean magic. Although it will fit Luna Lapin and all her friends, we designed the Moon Hare’s body shape specifically to fit this bodice.

Our Make Me kits include easy-to-follow instructions, accompanied by beautiful photography and clear diagrams that demonstrate the sewing steps. We are sure that if you read the instructions carefully, you will be successful in your sewing, but if you have any questions (or just want to show off your work), join Luna Lapin’s Little World, our helpful Facebook community.

The Queen of Fairies Outfit is one of our more advanced projects because of its design and fabric choices. We recommend that you have prior experience making clothing (person or Luna-sized). This project is designed to be machine-sewn, but a very patient person could do it by hand. All the clothes in the Luna Lapin collection (unless stated otherwise) will fit Luna and all her friends.
