Our Uma the Elephant Make Me kits include easy-to-read instructions with beautiful photography and clear diagrams to demonstrate the sewing steps. All our Make Me Kits now include a little tag to help you share in Uma’s Story and a PDF copy of the pattern just in case your paper copy gets lost/ We are sure that if you read the instructions carefully, you will be successful in your sewing, but if you have any questions (or just want to show off your work), join Luna Lapin’s Little World, our helpful Facebook community.

Levi is designed for hand sewing and is suitable for intermediate stitchers. This kit includes many different sewing techniques, including working with faux fur; we recommend that you be at least 13 or 14 years old. Though our Luna-sized outfits are interchangeable, a special outfit is in the works for our sweet Elephant. 

You’ll need:

• Instructions
• Paper pattern
• 22.5cm (9in) x 90cm (36in) Sandstone felt
• 2.5cm sq (1”sq) Cameo felt for the nose
• 20cm (8in) x 30cm (12”in) Fur
• Bobbin of tonal thread
• 2 triangular safety eyes
• 2 buttons for arm joints
• Embroidery needle
• Doll needle.

You will also need:

• A comb or hairbrush
• Sewing machine
• Iron
• Scissors (Micro-tip scissors would be useful here)
• Water-soluble marking pen
• 110-120gms stuffing
• A small piece of something to make a shield (a piece of tights would work)
• A long skinny tool for turning through/stuffing Levi.
