Inspired by traditional workwear of the early fifties, the practical and hardwearing Foreman is an unlined utilitarian jacket made to take charge. Features a boxy cut, 2 piece sleeves, a neat square collar, 2 hip pockets and one breast pocket. Can be optionally top-stitched in contrasting thread. Seam allowances are included in the pattern at 1.5cm, unless otherwise stated. You will need 4 buttons approx. 2cm/20mm diameter.
Skill level; Intermediate
Suitable fabrics:
Tweed, Woollens, Cotton Drill, Cotton Canvas, Linens, Corduroy, Boucle.
Extra Notions:
4 x buttons, approximately 20mm.
You might want to use bias binding to finish the facing edge
I would recommend a light interfacing to work with our washed linen
